- ➤ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered earlier versions of his famous speech in Huntsville at Oakwood University on March 19, 1962 and at Miami’s Historic Hampton House, showing the speech’s deep roots. An Oakwood graduate recalled the campus excitement during that historic visit. FOX 54
