- ➤ Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy will present its world premiere adaptation of Anansi the Spider on Friday, Feb. 6 at 11 a.m. at 3320 SW Triana Blvd., offering a 45-minute jungle adventure with life-size puppetry and original music by AAMU’s Bulldog Beat (tickets cost $12). - ➤ Huntsville Ballet will present Dancer’s Choice, a series of in-studio performances featuring excerpts from Romeo and Juliet, La Sylphide and new works by company dancers at Ballet Studios on Regal Drive SW. - ➤ Alabama A&M launches a fleet of four electric campus police vehicles today to boost sustainability and lower maintenance, backed by a new charging station behind University Services Building & efficient on-campus patrols. The move follows its 2019 switch to electric buses and aims for zero emissions on The Hill by 2031. Huntsville Business Journal
- ➤ Travis Cummings, president of the Madison Board of Education and a zoning administrator at Huntsville’s Planning Department, was honored with the All-State School Board Member Award by the Alabama Association of School Boards — a recognition of his commitment to education. The Madison Record
- ➤ Teachers were celebrated at the second annual Golden Apple Gala held at the Von Braun Center’s Saturn Ballroom, where The Schools Foundation honored 91 Teachers of the Year from all regional school districts with local performances. AL.com

- ➤ Military families living far from treatment facilities will not pay prescription copays starting Feb. 28, saving hundreds of dollars yearly. The Defense Health Agency said the change covers 58,000 dependents (about $5 million in savings) to ease costs for remote families. AL.com
