  • The U.S. Space & Rocket Center unveiled a pair of new mascots and invites visitors to vote on their names until March 10, with voters entered in a giveaway for a family four-pack of museum tickets that includes a planetarium show.  FOX 54

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At a recent Planning Commission meeting, residents raised concerns about whether Cherry Tree Road (a narrow two-lane road) can manage extra traffic, flooding, and wildlife displacement from more than 300 planned new homes in southeast Huntsville. Officials noted current traffic counts and promised further evaluation of long-term improvements.  AL.com
