GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Senate Majority Leader Steve Livingston said on FM Talk 106.5 that a local Google-owned data center planning an expansion will get power improvements only if the facility helps fund its supply, avoiding extra costs for local families — the center already supports hundreds of jobs.  1819 News

  • Alabama baseball swept No. 18 Florida this past weekend with strong pitching and offense highlighted by Tyler Fay’s no-hitter on Friday. The Crimson Tide, now 18-7, will face Austin Peay in a neutral-site midweek matchup in Huntsville Tuesday, March 24 at 6 p.m. CT.  1819 News
  • Auburn baseball played at Plainsman Park this weekend with a 4-3 walk off win Friday, a 7-6 loss Saturday and a 5-0 shutdown Sunday against Texas, and the Tigers will face South Alabama at Riverwalk Stadium Tuesday at 6 p.m.  1819 News
