  • Today at the Westin Hotel, hundreds of local women gathered for the 6th Annual Women’s Expo to connect and grow their businesses under the 'Be Bold' theme. Organizers said vendor sign-ups for next year will begin soon as the expo evolves from a small craft market into a community hub.  FOX 54

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A bus crash en route to a STEM racing event in Tennessee killed two students and injured many others, and local Huntsville-based Greenpower USA officials held a moment of silence + offered on-site counseling for affected teams.  FOX 54

CULTURE NEWS

  • Good Shepard United Methodist Church in Madison displays the 'Air Moses' artwork by Atlanta artist Chad Camp (first painted in 2006) in support of its new Upward Sports basketball program; a video of the piece has gone viral online.  AL.com

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Defense Commissary Agency announced fees for single-use bags + plastic bags will cost 5 cents and paper bags 10 cents starting April 6. Shoppers can avoid the fee by using a reusable bag or buying one at the store.  AL.com
