- ➤ Since permitless carry began in early 2023, authorities at Redstone Arsenal have arrested 99 people for illegally bringing firearms on base—officials blame the spike on a largely non-military workforce and stricter checkpoint checks that raised arrests from 17 in FY2023 to 45 in FY2024 and 37 so far this fiscal year. - ➤ A 31-year-old from Hartselle wanted for assault in Dallas was arrested during a traffic stop on March 30 at 2:30 a.m.—she is held at Morgan County Jail pending her extradition. WHNT News 19

- ➤ Attorneys for Kevin and Robert Matthews say a 2001 property sale on Winchester Road was wrong because a key clerk’s deed is missing and a 20-year-old court opinion is in dispute. They sent letters and filed motions in March to remove a forged deed from records, and the court set a final hearing for July 7—attorneys said they would turn the case over to federal authorities if the defense had not replied by March 31. 1819 News
