- ➤ A Huntsville man was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle wreck on Jordan Road near Twin Oaks Drive Northeast around 12:20 p.m. Friday when Michael L. Laforest’s car collided head-on with a vehicle driven by Caitlin H. Hale—he died at Huntsville Hospital while Hale and a four-month-old received treatment. WHNT News 19

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ On April 3, the UA System Board of Trustees voted to raise tuition for the 2025-2026 academic year, with increases ranging from 2.67% to 3.5% for both residential and nonresidential students at UA, UAB and UAH — UAH residential tuition will go up by about $158 per semester. Dana Keith said the rises are needed to meet rising operating costs and maintain market competitive salaries. WHNT News 19
