- ➤ The Spring Fling Festival brings free family fun with face painting, live music, and yard games tomorrow from noon to 4 p.m. at the Bridge Street Town Centre courtyard in front of Cinemark — a free event for all. WAAY 31
- ➤ Huntsville is celebrating National Community Development Week by expanding its home rehabilitation efforts for low-income seniors with two projects and an extra $500k in federal funding. The City uses these funds to improve roofs, siding and accessibility so residents can safely age in place. City of Huntsville
- ➤ Huntsville city leaders will host an Artemis II Splash Down Watch Party at Big Spring Park Friday at 6 p.m. as a big screen shows the splash down off the California coast — Marshall Space Flight Center workers will answer questions about the Artemis program. WAAY 31

- ➤ Governor Ivey announced that 29,341 applications representing 48,927 students have been submitted under the CHOOSE Act for private and home education in Huntsville (the application period ended March 31). Families will be notified mid-April and approved expenses can begin in July. WAFF 48

- ➤ The Birth to Bounce Back summit in Huntsville will help new parents tackle postpartum struggles by offering expert advice and practical support to regain their confidence after childbirth. WAAY 31
- ➤ Crestwood Medical Center and Huntsville Hospital Health System named Kyle Buchanan as its new president, effective Monday, April 20. Buchanan brings over 20 years of hospital leadership experience and previously led Helen Keller Hospital and Red Bay Hospital (he succeeds Justin Serrano). WAFF 48
