- ➤ Hundreds of dog lovers gathered at the Orion Amphitheater today for the third annual Pup Palooza—supporting the Greater Huntsville Humane Society's animal care programs across the Tennessee Valley. - ➤ After years of lobbying by city leaders and local businesses, Delta Air Lines will launch nonstop flights between Huntsville International Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport today with an inbound flight arriving just after 9:30 p.m. and an outbound flight leaving at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday. - ➤ Sheriff's deputies got a 911 call from a homeowner on Hamer Road in the Owens Cross Roads area and quickly stopped a car to arrest 19-year-old James Briggs, who is charged with unlawful breaking and entering. WAFF 48
- ➤ A Huntsville man (18) was arrested in Priceville after officers stopped his vehicle, found marijuana and a stolen handgun, and he faces charges of receiving stolen property and unlawful possession of marijuana with bond set at $70,000. WAFF 48

- ➤ Madison County announced that a section of Charity Lane—spanning Nix Road to Loveless Road—will close today from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for Huntsville Utilities to replace utility poles, and drivers are asked to use alternate routes—plan accordingly. WHNT News 19
