  • Huntsville Hospital Health System will celebrate 100 years of delivering babies on June 6 at Orion Amphitheatre—families can enjoy inflatables, games, food trucks and an 8:30 p.m. drone show with required seating at 8:15 p.m. for safety.  WHNT News 19
  • Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children has launched a new Kids Care Critical Care Transport ambulance — an intensive care unit on wheels — serving patients from 22 weeks’ gestation to age 21. The service will operate 24/7 to quickly transfer critically ill children across North Alabama.  AL.com
  • Clearview Cancer Institute has bought Alliance Cancer Care to start a new radiation treatment division led by eight specialists. The team will continue unchanged as it works to expand coordinated cancer care across Huntsville and north Alabama.  Huntsville Business Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • Alabama A&M University football remains eligible for postseason play as it addresses practice limitations and meets NCAA guidelines (approved waiver), ensuring the program stays focused on student-athlete success today.  WAAY 31
  • Alabama A&M announced that its men's basketball team will be barred from postseason play due to low APR, while its football team, which won an NCAA appeal, now faces reduced practice time + no spring game planned for 2027.   • Alabama A&M announced that its football and men’s basketball teams will face postseason bans next season because their APRs fell below the standard.
