- ➤ On Monday, Huntsville Animal Services reached capacity after receiving 37 cats and kittens by 5 p.m. The shelter now houses 84 animals and needs foster homes as staff care for kittens showing respiratory symptoms. WAAY 31

- ➤ Land Trust of North Alabama partners with the city and the Alabama Trails Foundation to highlight the Bill and Marion Certain Trail, a 1.97-mile hike with views at Blevins Gap Nature Preserve. - ➤ Liberty Middle School students earned top awards at the state TSA conference in Montgomery as they secured first place wins in events such as CAD Foundations, Prepared Speech, and Promotional Marketing. - ➤ Nate Blakely, a 16-year-old junior at James Clemens High School, was named Cadet of the Year in the AJROTC program, earning the Marine Corps League Award and Perfect Attendance.
