- ➤ Huntsville Animal Services gave its longest resident a break from kennel life on May 29, 2026 and offered a day out to boost the animal's well-being. WAAY 31
- ➤ Huntsville Animal Services is holding a toy drive for shelter pets waiting for forever homes. Community members may drop off new or gently used toys (tennis balls, rope toys, and other items) at the shelter during regular business hours. WAAY 31
- ➤ Huntsville-Madison County Library leaders said the downtown flagship location needs major repairs, and they are evaluating next steps to address the building’s condition. Future plans will determine how the work gets funded and scheduled. WAFF 48
