- ➤ Stuart Obermann and his family completed three workdays earlier this year to mulch, prune, and weed nearly 300 trees along a half-mile stretch of Aldridge Creek Greenway dedicated in memory of their son Eric, who raised awareness about ALS — volunteers from Grissom High School football and Cub Scout Pack 357 joined the effort as the City recognized the area as the Eric Obermann Linear Forest. - ➤ Huntsville police are investigating a shooting on the 200 block of Binford Drive at about 4:30 a.m.—one person died and another was injured with non-life-threatening wounds. AL.com
