  • VIP tickets have sold out and prices will rise at midnight ahead of R&B On the Lawn: All White Casual Edition. The adults-only event on Saturday, June 6 at Mansion Blue will feature live R&B, food trucks, and local vendors (tickets still available while supplies last).  FOX 54
  • The Cigar Box Guitar Festival rocked (Orion Amphitheater) over the weekend as it honored late musician Microwave Dave with live performances that celebrated his musical legacy.  WAFF 48

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • At a recent city council meeting, supporters urged additional funds to renovate or replace the aging downtown library—citing HVAC issues, outdated elevators, and costly boiler repairs. They noted the 123,000 sqft facility has seen a 40% rise in family use and must be upgraded for growing community needs.  AL.com
