- ➤ An earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale struck 22 miles north of Huntsville Sunday morning at about 5:01 a.m. with a shallow depth of 1.25 miles—U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the quake was minor. AL.com
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ ALDOT is investing nearly $390 million in road projects in the Huntsville metro—such as the I-565 widening which is over 15% complete with a fall next year finish and the U.S. 72 widening scheduled to begin its first phase in Fiscal 2027. Several other initiatives, including projects on Northern Bypass and Winchester Road, are progressing with ongoing design, utility relocation, and grading work. AL.com
