  • A Department of Defense employee at the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville was charged with taking and keeping secret papers after FBI agents saw her put them in a backpack and later found them in her car and home—court records show.  WAAY 31
  • Huntsville man Reginald Eugene Scott, 45, became the first person convicted under the Agent Billy Clardy III Act when he pleaded guilty to trafficking cocaine and received a life sentence under the Habitual Felony Offender Act — a milestone in law enforcement efforts —.  WAFF 48

  • The Justice Department said on Monday that a possible merger of the ATF and DEA will not cut jobs at Redstone Arsenal in Rocket City—ensuring that agents and specialists in explosives and arson continue their work.
