  • A man sustained non-life-threatening injuries when his vehicle crashed into a body of water on Saturday after he experienced a medical episode (officers responded at 1 p.m. on Carl T. Jones and Garth Road) (he was taken to the hospital for treatment).  WAFF 48

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Federal-Mogul Motorparts LLC in Boaz will close on September 25—affecting 82 workers, according to the Alabama Department of Commerce warn list. Tenneco, the current owner, is expected to provide further updates on the situation.  WHNT News 19

CRIME NEWS

  • An attorney for Kierra Symone Clark, charged with kidnapping Huntsville Realtor Ronald Dumas Jr., filed motions on Friday to secure a speedy hearing and require state witness disclosures—requests include a hearing within 30 days of her July 30 arrest and access to the witnesses' criminal records.  FOX 54

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On Saturday, Tennessee Riverkeeper removed 2,023 pounds of trash from Pinhook Creek downtown in Huntsville in honor of The Orion Amphitheater’s 100th concert — 18 volunteers gathered 61 bags of debris including shopping carts, tires and scrap metal. This cleanup added to the 9,500 pounds of trash the group removed from local waterways in 2025.  WHNT News 19
