- ➤ PDW unveiled its 90,000-square-foot factory on Diamond Drive in Huntsville last Wednesday to produce 60,000 drones a year—manufacturing began on July 1 and the facility is hiring over 500 workers with starting salaries above $100,000. City officials say the new operation will boost the local economy by $81 million annually. AL.com
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Huntsville man (39-year-old Ashley Crutcher) was arrested Monday after police, responding to neighbor reports in Rime Village, stopped a traffic violation, seized 243 grams of cocaine, 30 grams of fentanyl and nearly ten thousand dollars in drug proceeds, and he was booked on two counts of drug trafficking with a $3 million bond at 8:11 p.m. WAAY 31
- ➤ Police arrested Marcellous Rowe—allegedly after he fired shots into an occupied vehicle—at a Huntsville gas station Tuesday night. WAFF 48
