The Land Trust of North Alabama will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the Tollgate Greenway project on September 4 at 11 a.m. at the Bankhead Trailhead Parking Lot (2442 Bankhead Parkway) in Huntsville, and the 1.2-mile paved greenway will follow Toll Gate Road on Monte Sano to provide a safe route for pedestrians and cyclists with an expected opening in spring 2026.
