- ➤ Today, as part of Music Month, Huntsville's Music Office celebrated its music hub's 10th anniversary (10 years old), marking a key milestone for the local cultural scene. FOX 54
ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology has been named as one of 12 regional innovation hubs in a new global platform called H.A.R.V.E.S.T.—the program will guide agtech startups, share key resources, and boost economic growth in the Wiregrass Region and across Alabama. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Huntsville City Schools received up to $4.2 million in grants from Toyota Alabama on Wednesday to expand STEM programs and career pathways across several schools. The funding—adding to nearly $11 million already invested by Toyota—will support initiatives such as a district STEM coordinator, embedded coaches in six elementary and two middle schools, monthly parent training sessions, and Care Closets at 10 schools. - ➤ West Morgan linebacker Cole Thorn suffered a brain bleed during a game against Priceville and was rushed to Huntsville Hospital, where surgeons stopped the bleeding and he is now walking and talking—an early sign of rapid recovery.
