- ➤ Brian Fox—father of the 13-year-old Kallel Fox who died in a bike crash seven weeks ago—is calling for safer streets in Huntsville and working on memorial projects in his son's honor. WAAY 31

- ➤ Jim Page has been named interim executive director of Launch Regional Partnership — a group of business and civic leaders in North Alabama. He will lead the organization while it works to hire a full-time executive director and implement its new strategic plan. Huntsville Business Journal

- ➤ The Huntsville Green Ambassadors program challenges students in 30 local schools by teaching environmental management and green career skills. - ➤ The Huntsville International Airport parking deck expansion will add 1,415 spaces and begin in October, with the entrance being reoriented—this project will take about two years to finish. - ➤ Huntsville will be a key center for building new space stations when the old International Space Station stops working in 2030—industry experts and U.S. Rep.
