- ➤ Bert Kreischer, known for performing topless, will bring his Permission To Party World Tour to the Von Braun Center Propst Arena in Huntsville on Jan 15 — tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday with prices starting at $35.55. AL.com
- ➤ Alabama singer Savanna Kirby (Kirbi) earned a four-chair turn after performing For King & Country's 'God Only Knows' on The Voice on Tuesday, impressing all the celebrity coaches. The Florence native (now living in Nashville) said the audition boosted her confidence as she prepared to advance in the competition. AL.com
- ➤ As Huntsville Music Month ends, veteran musician Jim Richards remembered a time when every bar had a house band—live shows brought big-name artists and broke segregation in local clubs. He said the music scene declined after the Civic Center opened but he and other musicians expect a fresh wave of local talent to revive the city’s live performances. WAAY 31

- ➤ Huntsville Hospital is building a new tower on Madison Street with a $112 million permit that will add new patient rooms, care units, and an improved emergency entrance. More than $1.6 billion in new construction has started in the area—covering hospital, cancer, and home projects—led by top builders like Robins & Morton and Lennar Homes. AL.com

- ➤ The Caring Link is growing fast by expanding its care closets in local schools to provide students with clothes, shoes, school supplies, and toiletries, and by year's end it will have 25 centers operating. Its president is one of four national finalists for the NASCAR Foundation’s Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award—if she wins, a $100,000 donation will help the group support even more students, with voting open now through November 3rd. - ➤ Alabama employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers face fines from $250 to $10,000 per violation and a three-year probation period under state law—federal guidelines also allow for up to 6 months in prison for repeated offenses. FOX 54
- ➤ Today, Huntsville's new $343 million budget takes effect with over $20 million set aside for road repairs and improvements.
