EDUCATION NEWS

  • Women in Huntsville attended a Girls Garage workshop on Saturday—learning to change tires, check fluids, and jump-start a battery. The training equipped participants with basic auto maintenance skills for everyday use.  WAFF 48

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Sen. Donnie Chesteen said the AHSAA did not follow the CHOOSE Act rules as intended and compared it to the NCAA for not fixing its problems. He said lawmakers will work on changing the rule in the 2026 session (R-Geneva) after a judge let CHOOSE Act students play sports (on Alabama Public Television).  1819 News

  • Kalen DeBoer's Tide beat Vanderbilt 30–14 in Tuscaloosa — they kept the Commodores from scoring in the second half.  WAAY 31
  • The North Alabama Lions lost 52—23 to the Abilene Christian Wildcats and dropped to a 1—4 record as the Wildcats scored first and amassed 499 yards of offense. The team, with TC Tabscott throwing for 134 yards and two touchdowns in relief, will host Central Arkansas in Florence next Saturday.  WAAY 31
