ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Meteorologist Grace Anello said Huntsville faces a bitter cold morning with temperatures near 30°F—and clear skies as residents prepare for Black Friday shopping. She warned that rain may affect the upcoming Iron Bowl. WAAY 31
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Crews working on the I-565 widening project in Madison County have made progress on drainage and new lanes—weather delays and a barrier rail shortage now push completion into 2027. Officials said work on the east side will resume next spring and the project is expected to ease traffic bottlenecks. WAFF 48
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Madison County Kitchen Cops inspected local food establishments and found safety issues at several outlets—Elkwood Grocery scored 70 after rodent droppings, mold, and improper food handling were observed. The inspections also recorded temperature violations at Bruegger’s Bagels and cleaning problems at a Chevron station—other sites in nearby counties reported similar concerns. WAFF 48
