- ➤ L.L.Bean will open its first Alabama store in April at Bridge Street Town Centre in Huntsville (16,000 sqft) and will feature outdoor apparel and footwear designed in Maine to help locals enjoy the outdoors year-round. AL.com

- ➤ The Huntsville City Council approved rezoning for Westmoore Landing, a Providence-style housing development east of I-65 and south of Highway 20 and I-565. Developers plan to build about 3,000 homes, with construction set to begin in May and some homes opening in 2027 (developer Dan Horwath said the project targets diverse buyers). WAFF 48
