  • Huntsville business owners are required to renew their operating licenses for 2025 between Jan. 2 and Jan. 31 via an online portal or in-person at City Hall.  City of Huntsville
  • Huntsville Fire & Rescue honored firefighters with promotions and awards for bravery and lifesaving efforts, including a lifesaving award to a captain who performed CPR on a basketball player.  City of Huntsville

  • Huntsville municipal offices, including Animal Services, Parks & Recreation, and Public Transit, will close for Christmas, with reduced hours on Dec. 24 and garbage collection delayed by a day.  City of Huntsville
  • Alabama has implemented a new law to expedite public records requests, requiring agencies to acknowledge receipt within 10 business days and respond within 15.  WAFF 48
