  • Members of Al Azhar Temple No. 195 cooked meals and assembled gift bags this holiday weekend at the Downtown Rescue Mission to support people in need in Huntsville.  WAFF 48

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Local high school theater students trained with a Broadway actor from the touring show Shucked on Friday at the Von Braun Center, with Huntsville's Broadway Theatre League hosting a workshop that included dinner and tickets for a 7:30 p.m. show.  FOX 54

  • RCP Companies announced a $300 million expansion for MidCity District that will add a mid-size music venue, two hotels, an Innovation Tech Campus and 60,000 sqft of retail and entertainment along three blocks of Sanderson Road (operating partner to be named in early 2026).  1819 News

  • Ty Simpson, Deontae Lawson and Kalen DeBoer celebrated Alabama’s big win over Oklahoma on Dec. 20 (uniting fans across the region) through a spirited postgame display.  WAAY 31
