Huntsville Utilities Electric Operations closed Capshaw Road between Jeff Road and Lynch Road to repair damage caused by a vehicle hitting a utility pole; the closure is expected to last until 10:00 a.m. with Madison County Sheriff’s Office managing traffic control.

The City Council approved a plan with ALDOT to expand the Greenway network, and the project will add more walking and biking paths for residents.

Local colleges and universities in Huntsville are expanding nurse training programs to fight a growing shortage after a 2023 study showed nearly 40,000 nurses left the workforce.

This effort will help the community meet its health care needs.
