Huntsville police and Councilwoman Dr. Jennie Robinson updated district 3 residents during a town hall meeting about the fatal bicycle crash that killed 13-year-old Kal Fox last week on Green Mountain Road near Bailey Cove Road—the driver has not been charged and a toxicology report is pending, with speeding tickets making up 69% of citations on that road.

Huntsville police said officers reached a house in the 600 block of Kennan Road around 5:30 p.m. Sunday and found an adult man and woman dead in one bedroom—evidence indicated the incident was an apparent murder-suicide.

Seven puppies were left in a trash-filled box outside Huntsville Animal Services on Monday — they showed signs of neglect but began to improve in care this morning — and officials are investigating their abandonment while the puppies are made available for adoption.
