Huntsville Police ended a four-month investigation into a prescription drug ring across Huntsville and Madison County—finding over $45,000 in drugs, $72,000 in cash and three guns—and arrested 71-year-old Vernon Hereford on charges of drug trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and holding a gun as an ex-felon.
